Rear wall not secured at bottom...

On my new 2018 8244BS unit I noticed a gap of about 3/8" between the floor and the rear wall between the 2 end tables. I was able to go to the outside back of the unit and push the wall back to be flush with the floor.

In conjunction with emailing the factory I stopped by the dealer that I bought the unit and looked at the other Rockwood 5ers and found out that ALL units have this issue.

The factory sent me the print of the back wall and informed me that the floor trim piece needs to be removed and several 2" screws need to be driven in from the floor to the wall "toe nailed"

So if you have a newer Rockwood, push slightly on the rear wall at the bottom and see if yours, like mine, can be pushed out.

Interesting print.

I'm wondering how the "decor panel," which is 2 pieces 48" wide, i.e., a total of 96", can be wider than the distance between the fiberglass of 95-3/4".

I discovered the same thing in my 2011 Windjammer 3001W. I removed the baseboard trip with the plan of drilling a hole to run a wire for a backup camera. Discovered that I didn't need to drill a hole, because there is space between the wall and the floor. On a positive note, it made it easy to slip the wire through! It seems to me that doing the toe nail thing would tear up the carpet. Why not run a screw from the back of the trailer/5r and into the floor from the outside? I don't think it's a structural issue, so I'll probably just put the baseboard back and leave it as is. It's been this way since 2011 and the floor and wall are still there....
