Refrigerator not working

Before I call a tech, any ideas as to why the refrig would just shut down? I tried it on electric and propane and would still not come back on so I assume whatever the problem is, it is common to both elec and propane. It has been working great for the last several weeks. The breaker isn't flipped. I did notice the temperature cable had come loose from the thermistor and reconnected it. I'm not sure that would have caused it to shut down. Looking through the owners manual, it shows two fuses on the circuit board, which I figure is behind the vent panel on the outside of the RV. I haven't checked those yet. I was checking the inside light bulb yesterday, before the problem. I don't think I could have shorted anything out that way.
Any thoughts?

I believe that the common part of operating the fridge on either propane or electric is the 12V control board. Does the interior light work?

Have you checked the 12V fuse panel for a blown fuse, otherwise there may be a blown fuse on or near the fridge's 12V control board.

the interior light does not work, but it has only worked on and off since I got the trailer. That is what I was doing yesterday, was fiddling around with it to see what the problem may be. That was probably when I knocked the termo cable loose for the thermistor. The 110 breaker is not tripped and there is no indicator light for the 12 volt fuses inside. I plan to check the fuses on the circuit board in a few minutes. Is it common for one of those to blow?

If you go to the Library section (on the green header near the top of the page) you'll find a download for a Dometic Service Manual for the fridge which will be helpful.

Put a 3 amp fuse in, although it is slightly longer, it was the only one I could find. As soon as the fuse went in, the propane fired up. Once I plugged the refrig back in, the lights are on and I assume it is working. Time will tell.
I'll be stocking up on the 3 amp and 5 amp that run the refrig, I already have a stockpile of 4 amp for the fantastic fans.

Thanks for the help, ya'll.

Since you were working on that light when everything quit, go back and check the wires. It sounds like something shorted out there.

All good. Refrigerator working good after putting in the new 3 amp fuse. The location on the circuit board is easy to get to for replacement. As far as the light inside, I think I'll wait on that, it doesn't provide a heck of a lot of light inside anyhow.

Thanks again ya'll.
