Removing the Rock and Roll

Just starting rving with a 2015 2604 WS Rockwood but after leveling the trailer, setting the wheel choks and stabilizers I'm still getting a lot of movement inside the trailer when anybody moves around inside. Any recommendations for eliminating this irritating movement would be appreciated. Thanks.

if you're using the cheap wedge chocks, that's not enough.
you need to use a set of tandem wheel chocks.
either manufactured ones or home-built ones. i built my own set for around $12.

SteadyFast: 5th Wheel and RV Travel Trailer Stabilizer System

I used this on my last TT and will most likely put them on my new one. They really made a big difference. I used these with Xchocks.

I am looking to buy a set of BAL X-chock's for my pop up as well. I hope it will cut down on the sway also. People say good things about them here on the forum and I am gonna give them a shot also.

Vin.

As others have mentioned, x-chocks do help a lot.
But...on my unit what made a HUGE improvement is a third pair of stabilizer jacks just in front of the axles.
I suggest you try that...give us some feedback !

Question 3 sets?

Hey black, seen your post about the 3rd set of stabilizers. We have a 8315bss and I upgraded the originals with 4 from husky. also have the x chocks. still have movement. wondering how you attached the 3rd set? and how far forward of the axle. Thanks. Bruce G

I plan to make some of the ones shown on attachment. This is from the May 2014 issue of Trailer Life magazine. In a later edition there was a letter from someone who had made them and felt they did work. Cheap to try anyway.

X-Chocks make a huge difference...I wouldn't be without them....Amazon has about the best prices on them from what I have seen. Got ours through there and they arrived very quickly. Actually Amazon is great for most RV stuff!

Yep. Gotta love the prime, free 2 day shipping. The husky stabilizers weighed around #50lbs. at least, still free, 2 days. And the best price. Starting to sound like a commercial. Thanks.

I got slammed for this suggestion on a previous post, but we use stabilizers placed from the ground to the bottom of our slide to stop any movement there. That combined with x-chocks work great.

I won't slam you, but I will point out for MOJO that their owners manually likely recommends AGAINST slide out supports due to concerns for damage.

Between the front axle tire and the entry steps...just room enough to fit a scissor jack in.
It is held in place by 2 square metal tubing bolted to the frame on each side and the stabilizers are bolted to that, moved the jack inward just enough that it clears the outside squirting.
Had that thrown in the deal when I bought the unit...the tech told me it was an excellent idea and I would see a big difference.
He was right!

Purchased a set of BAL X-Chocks and installed them in minutes and it removed alot of the rock and roll. Not sure if I'm completely satisfied but it's alot better than what it was. Thanks for all the quick responses.

Installed a set of modified rear electric stabilizer jacks just in front of the axles. Attached the jack assembly to the 2 x 4 steel tube. Have replaced the strap braces shown in the pictures with 3/4" black pipe with the ends heated and flattened for the bolts.

levelers

Someone here recommended Andersen levelers. We looked at the Andersen website (which is how we lost where we were in the threads), and in reading the reviews saw some questions about whether they'll fit between the two tires. We're considering a Mini Lite 2304KS - can anyone tell us whether the Andersen levelers will fit between the tires?
