Removing the Rock and Roll

Just starting rving with a 2015 2604 WS Rockwood but after leveling the trailer, setting the wheel choks and stabilizers I'm still getting a lot of movement inside the trailer when anybody moves around inside. Any recommendations for eliminating this irritating movement would be appreciated. Thanks.

if you're using the cheap wedge chocks, that's not enough.
you need to use a set of tandem wheel chocks.
either manufactured ones or home-built ones. i built my own set for around $12.

SteadyFast: 5th Wheel and RV Travel Trailer Stabilizer System

I used this on my last TT and will most likely put them on my new one. They really made a big difference. I used these with Xchocks.

I am looking to buy a set of BAL X-chock's for my pop up as well. I hope it will cut down on the sway also. People say good things about them here on the forum and I am gonna give them a shot also.

Vin.

As others have mentioned, x-chocks do help a lot.
But...on my unit what made a HUGE improvement is a third pair of stabilizer jacks just in front of the axles.
I suggest you try that...give us some feedback !

Question 3 sets?

Hey black, seen your post about the 3rd set of stabilizers. We have a 8315bss and I upgraded the originals with 4 from husky. also have the x chocks. still have movement. wondering how you attached the 3rd set? and how far forward of the axle. Thanks. Bruce G

I plan to make some of the ones shown on attachment. This is from the May 2014 issue of Trailer Life magazine. In a later edition there was a letter from someone who had made them and felt they did work. Cheap to try anyway.
