Replace dinette with recliner?????

Hello everyone. I have a 2016 2104s and only have a few complaints. One the shower is too small. And the other is the dinette. Honestly not very comfortable. I was just wondering if anyone has removed their dinette and replaced it with a couple of recliners????

We had a table and chairs in our TT which was very seldom used. I took all of them out and replaced with a recliner and it worked out very well. gave us much more space. We are now go to replace the love seat ( sleeper ) with a recliner couch and two end tables that will fit in our slide area. I think this will out great as it will give us more seating area that we need. DW is always looking for a way to spend more.

We're going to purchase or make a shower extender about chest high. I beleive someone on this forum has done this. We also think the dinnette is uncomfortable. To fix this we removed the two huge and stiff corner cushions and replaced them with oversized soft couch pillows. Very comfy now.

I noticed your pillows in the post about the cabinet doors. Those are nice. What kind of shower extended are you thinking about? I have seen the splash guards and actually bought one but haven't installed yet.

This shower is an upgrade compared to the last trailer we had. We had a FR R-Pod and the shower was like the ones on a cruise ship -- very small.

I might make my own shower extender, not sure yet. Where did you get the splash guards?

Was the old one you had one that had the toilet in the shower? I ordered some splash guards from Amazon but saw a better one on here and picked it up at lowes.

I replaced my fold out dinette and wooden chairs with an additional hide a bed. We have 5 children and the extra seating and sleeping capacity makes a world of difference. We have a 6 ft folding table that we keep between the two couches and pull out for those "formal" dinners or more counter space when preparing a meal.

We have been w/o a dinette in our last two trailers..First one we purchased used & previous owner had put in a "countertop" made of butcher block formica, then used 2 office type chairs which were the perfect height..we thought it was great...as one of us has trouble bending the knees to get in and out of the dinette.

Bought a used 26' FR Flagstaff & immediately tore out the dinette...put in a long countertop to replace it and used an oak type "flooring" for the surface..also used same flooring to cover the floor, as it was too "springy" for our taste...we will use chairs again to sit up to the "countertop" ...lots of space to put the computer, eat, whatever...and looks great.

Dinette replacement with countertop

Used a 2' door hollow core door mounted horizontally for the countertop, covered it with oak laminated flooring, edge is matching oak edge trim piece. Earlier trailer had two lightweight office chairs, worked great!
