How about an illuminated digital thermostat? I would like to replace my thermostats with ones that illuminate so I don't have to use a flashlight.

You should be able to do it. You just need to find one. It will most likely cost you a lot more.

Here's one at Home Depot:

Honeywell 5-1-1 Day Programmable Thermostat with Backlight-RTH2410B - The Home Depot

They have others. Search for "thermostat backlight" and you'll get more.
