Rockwood 2304s

Dear Fellow Owners

I am currently miles from my Rockwood 2304s, wintering in Palm Desert Ca. I have just found a sound system for the trailer. I need to know the dimensions of the corner shelving that sits on each side of the dining nook, above the windows. They are triangular storage shelves. I would really appreciate it if one of you fellow murphy bed owners would measure these shelves for height and depth and send them to me.

Greatfully

Ian Parsons

Rockwood 2304s

Hi Pam and Don

Thx so much for the offer. Need height and depth from edge of shelf to where the two corners meet. I responded earlier, but went directly from my email instead of through the forum. Looking at a Bose ipod dock to replace our logitec. Bose is quite a bit higher, but I think it will fit. We luv our 2304s. Best of a dozen RV's we have had. Putting that Murphy Bed up gives us as much space as a 28-30 ft trailer. We have had as many as six for dinner at the nook. Just a wonderful use of space. We have also have had people with much bigger rigs come in, look at our bathroom and say ours is bigger than the one in their mega fifth.

We love our 2015 2304s ultralight as well, can't believe rock wood discontinued that model! Best floor plan ever! Love the huge bathroom😄

Rockwood 2304s

Whoaa, that is shocking news. I just googled the Rockwood line-up and I thought I saw it displayed. The newest model is coming out with a table and four chairs rather than a dinette. Perhaps I was looking at the 2015 model. It is a bad decision if they discontinue it. I suspect if they do it is because it is directed mainly to couples. Jayco makes a similar model with many of the features in the 2304s.

Forest River has done away with a number of couples campers this year. Indicated they weren't selling enough of them. I personally believe that's because dealers were putting them on their lots! We have one of the last Heritage Glen 232IS models to leave the factory. Terrific floorplan! We were going to order a 2304s, but we were too late! Happier with 232IS honesty. So it worked out.

I just looked at the floorplan of the heritage glen 2321s and the salem same model. There is no comparison to the 2304s. The floorplan is horrendous and there is no Murphy bed. Can you imagine watching tv on the sofa? It is set into one of the slides. You would have to crane your head around to even get a glimpse of the TV. It has two slides with some kind of island for two people to sit at. The comparison between the two units completely eludes me. Off to Jayco I go.

Thing about campers, there's one to fit everyone's taste and needs. Keep in mind floor plans are not plans at all. They are cartoon representations and scales aren't accurate nor do the cartoons tell the whole story such as the fact that the TV is mounted on a swivel. No problem at all viewing from the sleeper sofa and it spins around for viewing in the full queen bed. Can't have a full queen on the Murphy of the 2304s, which was a consideration to me given I'm 6'-5". Several manufacturers have similar to what you want, they just have faux Murphy beds (folding mattress). I'm sure you will find perfect to you! Happy camping!

We as well love our trailer! We see a lot at the shows that we like but we always leave saying I still would not trade ours! We could never get into some of the great places we have been in a longer trailer, and the best bathroom we have seen, love it and could talk about it for hours
By the way our oldest son is an Ian so we were happy to help out another Ian! Happy Travels!
Pam

Let me know if you need more measurements

Oddly the new model of the 2304s ultralight is the 2304 DS, don't like the front slide out, steals precious awning real estate, the kitchen is shoved in the back and the bathroom is half the size! Also gone is the U shaped dinette, replaced by table and 4 chairs (optional?). Why this is considered new and improved I just don't get it. We were lucky to find one of the last 2015's available in Ontario, even tho we had to drive 6 hrs return to pick it up.

No, none available, but we love the options and finishes in ours. Brought it home just before winter, so can't wait till spring to use it on our first trip of the year.
