Rockwood 2501ss Under Slide Weather Stripping

If you own a Rockwood with a slide check under it, this is what I found under my 2009 2501ss. The pics are from under the slide looking up from the wheels to the bottom of the trailer floor and slide floor. The staples that hold the weather stripping to the plastic did not even penetrate the main floor and the hard plastic will not push in up against the trailer floor, due to the hard plastic being stapled from the top. It is in the shop now being repaired they are having to pull the whole slide out to gain access to the hard plastic. If I would not have found this water from the road would have gotten thrown up there and ended up trapped between the trailer floor and the hard plastic. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I wished you'd backed up a bit for a better perpsective but at any rate. I'm glad you found it before any real damage was done.

I have a 8314BSS. This seal was hanging from the slide when I brought it picked it up from the dealer, but it appeared to be glued above where your picture shows. It would almost rub the bottom of the slide. I had it reinstalled by the dealer and now it is where your picture shows. I looked at another New unit on the lot and it was indeed glued on the top of the ledge, directly under the slide. I am not sure were it really belongs. Let me know if you have found out any more info.
