David - Thanks for the Reflectix tip, I will try that. After going back to the same campground the low voltage is also a major problem there. I am going to try the 50 to 30 doggone because the 30 amp plugs are just about worn out hope to get better power from the 50. I am also considering painting the black a/c cover white.

Just a comment: Black radiates internal heat better than white, while white reflects external heat better than black. So you'd really want to only paint the front of the cover white (where the evaporator and the cold air are) and leave the back of the cover black (where the condenser and the hot air are).

Of course, you may not like that "look."

Wait! I have a 13.5 and it runs 30amp. 15k need 50amp. If you have 30amp you wont be able to do it. What we are learning is to play with the vents during day/night. Day, close bedroom and open living space. Night, open bedroom and just open a section of living area. Another thing we found out is the amount of heat coming from skylight in bathroom shower.

Not true in the least. My 13.5 pulls about 11-13A and my 15K pulls about 13-15A running. I just can't run them both at the same time if I'm on 30A...well, I might get away with it if there's plenty of voltage available, but it'd be close.

I had a 15 K in my
2703 and it will run on 30 amp just fine. I have 1 15 k on my fifth wheel run 30 amp with electric hot water, fridge and toaster never blown a breaker.

No problem with a upgrade to 15 k BTU AC Unit.

15k doesn't need 50amp. The 50amp connections are for RV's that run two air conditioners.

If you checked out the threads on A/C mods tha Herk has posted. There's a lot of merit to the suggestions. Wrapping the suction line from the evaporator, covering the air handler with something reflective. I happened to use aluminized self adhesive duct wrap R-3 value ( Frost King @ Menards)since I had read varying reports of the R value from 5-1 with reflectix. Isolate the hot air side from the cold air side from the underneath the ceiling distribution register with aluminum tape and duct wrap. That made a couple degrees measured difference in the discharge air, which is a big difference. ( maybe 10% delta T) I have a 13.5 KBtu Colman-Mach and digital T stat.
I also installed some foam blocks in the ceiling vents and skylight. I have 3 very cheap Honewell 10" fans in each room pointing towards the ceiling to push (recirculate)the cold air back to the roof and they're very quiet. I also run an EvaDry 2200 electronic dehumidifier, it will pull 25-32 oz over a weekend. Don't sound like a lot does it?. Bottom line, hassle? probably. Does it work? IMHO yes. My AC actually will cycle itself on and off

Before you upgrade, have you checked your duct connections at the AC and your vents to see if they are sealed? Mine were not and apparently this is a widespread issue.

Air Conditioner Sealing, Done

Sealing mine resulted in a 50% improvement since all of the cold air now comes out the vents and is not blowing into the attic space. An added benefit was no more Styrofoam pieces and insulation blowing out the vents either.
