Rockwood 8280ws roof question

Our camper is in constant use with the A/C running most of the time. I got on top of the camper and noticed the condensate water from the A/C keeping the sealant along the rear of the roof wet all of the time. I have not noticed any leakage inside. Has anyone out there had any damage from this? After the cooling season is over, I am going to clean the affected area and apply a new layer of Dicor self-leveling sealant to the whole joint. I would like to apply an inverted V-shaped raised drainage path from the rear of the A/C to the roofs rear corners of the joint to stop this ponding. Any comments or solutions on this will be appreciated. I am a worry-wart about my rv, and when I invest this much in something I want to make it last. Please help, Tom-s

Yes, it is really dumb how they designed the rear cap so that it created that 'dam' that holds so much water on the roof, and directly on a joint that could easily leak.
When I saw that on our new camper, I immediately applied a 6-inch strip of Eternabond from one side to the other, wrapping it right over the sides. As the joint sealant was still sticky, and the Eternabond seemed to stick like crazy glue, I am hoping that it will be a semi-permanent fix.
Making something to divert the air conditioner water is not a bad idea, but any little shower will still pond water up there.

Anythime it rains, water collects there too until it eventually evaporates. I suggest that you keep up with the inspection of that area and re-chalk as needed.
