Rockwood 8315BSS bed slide question?

Is there any problems with using the bed with the slide in on the 8315BSS?

Don't understand your question...could you give more info? We have this model and have not had any problems as of yet.

If your traveling and don't want to put the slide out while in a rest area will it do any damage to the slide mechanism to lay on the bed with the slide not extended. In some brands of trailers they warn about this damaging the slide. I have not seen any warnings about this on the Rockwood Ultra Lites.

Slide Bed

I would think that if the bed is resting on the floor when it is in there should be no problem. I know when my living room slide is in it is up about an inch and it should not be stepped on. Frank

Yes, the LR slide does 'lift up' and I can see where it might be suggested to not sit or step on it but the bedroom slide does not do this near as much. If you are really concerned, I'd just call Forest River and ask them directly...and then come back and let us know...I'd be very interested to know!

Can't see why not - other than the fact that when the slide is retracted , the bed comes right up against the wardrobe cabinet, so you would have to "climb over" it to get to the other side. Ours is a 2010 model.
