Rockwood 8316SS Propane issue

Hi All,

I have a new Rockwwood 8316SS and am having a problem with my propane system. When the tanks are being drawn from they are making a loud humming almost whistling type noise. It is very loud and not only me but my rv neighbors are very annoyed with the lack of silence. I changed out the regulator and the noise continued, I tried using different tanks and the noise continued. Anyone else having this type of problem or can you help me diagnose my problem? I can't get my trailer home for warranty service until after the summer, trying to fix this myself.

Anyone have any other issuse or reviews on this trailer?

Thanks in advance!

Kelly

I would tend to think the short flexible line, from the tanks to the regulator, may be bad internally.

Agree with Mike. I had a similar experience: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...sing-3944.html

Kelly,

Congrats on your new camper.
I can't give you any help with your problem but you are in the right place to get your questions answered.
Good luck and hope you have many fun and trouble free trips with it.

see if the dealer or factory has a solution and if not tell them what you think it might be and have them ship you the parts. welcome to the forum.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Much appreciated. I have placed a call to my dealership to speak to them about this. I will keep you updated.

While I am new to the forest river family, I am not new to camping. We had a 2007 Jayflight 27BH, which we loved but upgraded to a larger model. Having spent the previous three years on the road we decided to settle into a seasonal spot this year which required larger living if we were going to be spending more time in it. To this point we are very happy with our new purchase, minus the couple of problems, but that is to be expected with new trailers.

Thanks again!

Cheers!

Kelly

Smile

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to post an update to my problem. Took your advice and brought the lines home, exchanged them at my dealership(under warranty) and replaced them this past weekend. Happy to say that the tanks are no longer singing!!

Thanks again for your help!
