Rockwood 8319ss

So we finally have made our decision to purchase a 2014 Rockwood 8319ss. Love the floorplan. I already have a question before I even have it. On the bedroom slide, there is storage underneath. Will the weight of the cargo in this slide damage it while it is being extended/retracted, or should the storage underneath of this slide be emptied before this. This seems to kind of defeat the purpose of the storage to me, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks for the help.

It is fine to keep the contents in the storage and the drawers while running the slide.

We have a 2014 Rockwood 8329ss. It has the bedroom in the front. I have the storage compartment loaded to the max. It has worked great for us. Fill it up and enjoy.

Side observation on the 8319ss... I wonder why FR changed the floor plan on this model as it had one of the nicest bathrooms in a TT. The double sinks and large counter space as well as room to move around was a huge factor in our purchase if this model. Bedroom with the slide was a second big factor.

We have a 2012 8319. We just love it! As we are women who own it, it is great as ours has the two sinks and we use the sofa and bed for sleeping. We got the atrium windows. Don't worry about the bed slide and taking things out. It will hold the what's in it while being moved in and out. We are both large women and it hold very well while the slide is extended too. People worry about that all the time too! We store all our extra hoses and bedding, along with our grill, a big fan, etc. we even have a six foot folding table and benches as a potable picnic table that we carry on the bed when we travel. The slide has no problem. I wouldn't lay on it while moving it. You'll enjoy backing it in too! You might want to put some of your weight up ion the dining area when hauling it as it is an ultra lite and in the wind, we've found that helps from it bouncing. Enjoy it!
