Rockwood Bathroom Mods

My DW who is quite handy made trip to Home Depot to pick out a double towel rack and toilet paper holder to install in our Rockwood 2703 With alittle help from myself she installed them. I believe the ones we picked are Moen Sage. The towel rack was 24" but it was to big to fit on the back wall so all we had to to was cut the bars to make it fit. Here are some pictures of the final results.

What did you use to secure them to the very thin walls?

You drill two 5/16 holes for each mounting point in the wall then secure these anchors that are provided into the wall and use the provide screws to mount the base plates then attach the ends of the rack with set screws. Mounts very securely.

When those wall anchors are inserted into the hole you drill the part that rests up against the wall is straight and goes up against the wall as you tighten it, correct. I am surprised the wall is thick enough to allow that anchor to be fully inserted into the wall cavity...good to know.

When you drill the 5/16 hole it will only allow the anchor to be inserted up to the point where I have the red arrows...Then you have to push the anchor into the wall to secure it. We used a hammer. Then you use the screws to secure the mounting plate.
