Well, that got me to thinking that maybe I am getting senile or something, so I downloaded the brochure again. And yes, their is a graphic representation of the floor components, although not a "photo".
But there is absolutely no way to tell what the top component is. As the detail is vague, to say the least, it could very well have been 5/8ths plywood. There is no way to tell from what they provided.
I realise it was my mistake for trusting the company, and I should have been more diligent. But to suggest that the brochure provided the necessary detail, is simply not supported by the facts. They should have listed the components.
I understand why some people feel defensive about their campers, but to try to downplay the issue does a disservice to the readers of this forum.
And I realise that being critical of Forest River products is not a popular topic, but I paid a lot of money for mine, and I feel that I was short-changed.
And yes, herk, this is going nowhere, so I will shut up.

You purchased what you called an ultralite, although my flagstaff is called a superlite. Either way that would be a clue that it is going to be different than older trailers. I haven't had any floor problems and don't expect any.

Don,
I don't have a problem with folks being critical of FR; they do make mistakes and take unpopular shortcuts. Criticism is healthy and sometimes the squeaky wheel does get the grease.
Make your case; get some feedback and move on.
Dwelling on an injustice (real to you or you would not have brought it up) does no one any good. If FR has an epiphany and says "OMG we never thought of that" to your gripe they might be inclined to fix it. If they have their face ground into the pavement, they are more likely to become defensive. This is human nature whether individual or corporate.
Harping on an issue just makes my inbox full; then I get "testy" from having to wade though it. I got back from my last trip with 328 emails in my inbox 314 from the Forum.
Just sayin'

I own a Rockwood 2012, 8289WS. I have had no problem what so ever with the floor. The most weight per square ft. would be my slides and their is no sagging, and without any joist system either 16" or 14" on center like my main floor area. Even if they used plywood all that is glued and pressed and sandwiched together. I guess time will tell, but so far no problems

i have an 1809. i weight 240#. i use my TT for business purposes, staying in it up to 20 nights/mo.
that said...when i purchased and used the 1809 for the first time there were no soft spots.
however, after 12 months of continuous use, the floor sags in the areas where there is no support. and there are two, soft-sagging 4' unsupported spans in the entry & aisle.
my take on it...hey! it is what it is. i'm a big guy and i'm using the TT for purposes which it was not intended.
that is...i'm over-using it.
so, the only way i can expect the floor to function correctly in the future is to reinforce as is outlined in this thread:

My question is how to reinforce them so that the spongy feeling goes away and doesn't add much weight. I can't see putting a new sub-floor in.

I replied to this thread in 2012. Yes, our camper has a thin luan/foam/luan floor. And yes, in 2012 we had no issues in our "new" camper. In 2017, I started noticing soft spots all over the place. I contacted Rockwood directly. Long story short, we took our camper back to the factory in Indiana. They lifted the body completely off the chassis, put in a new floor, rebuilt the floor of the slide, and fixed a TON of other little nagging things (latches yellowing, the door to the outside kitchen leaking, new water heater, etc) all at NO CHARGE. This design is a known issue. Their floors are now designed with 5/8" plywood. Our unit could not be retro-fitted with the new design. We were blown away with all of the things they fixed/tweaked. If you're having an issue contact Rockwood/Flagstaff.

I think Rockwood finally succumbing to pressure and now using 5/8 inch tongue and groove plywood. They should also use marine grade.

My ROCKWOOD Ultra-lite built in Dec 2016 came with the 5/8" plywood and I think that was about the time that Rockwood started getting smarter...

Somewhere between 4/7/15 and late 2015, I believe. Mine 2016 Mini Lite was built 4/7/15 and has luan. Someone in another thread just said he bought his 2016 Windjammer in late 2015 and its plywood.

So why is it that 90% of floor covering places use it to smooth the floor before installing linoleum?

They are using it for its smooth surface, not as a structural component. BIG difference.

Interesting... we're still good with the floors and the slide and this TT has seen more than its share of rough and tumble roads. Perhaps something changed from 2011 to 2012?

I have a 2016 Rockwood 2109s and the floors feel solid .I don’t know if they are plywood or not .Trailer has been used to live in during the week at a job site for 1 1/2 years and only 2 minor problems and no trips back to the dealer.I weigh 200 lbs.As far as the other pics of members with saggy spots-an easy fix would be to weld some more square tube in where there is too much open span . A floor jack and a mic welder would fix the spot in minutes.
