X3, the only reason they changed was the floors really are not holding up, I would take the weight anyday

Also in a 5er, you have plywood already in the raised area and slides. So really they may be adding only like a 100#, for the main floor area, good trade off. I would then hope they added more floor insulation, but that I doubt., being there isn't any now in the current plywood areas.

We have a 2016 2504s with the luan floor. What if anything can I do to avoid getting soft spots? We walk as light as possible but the thought of the floor going bad scares me. Jay

Prevent water intrusion.
It causes the luan to separate.

Our Rockwood 8328 was built in Jan. 2017 and it does have the 5/8 plywood floor decking. It does feel completely different than our 2012 Windjammer. It always felt like you were denting 5he floor.

I agree, mine has luan, Composite Flooring (sandwich), wish it had plywood, it has soft spots,no water intrusion. Wish there was a fix for it.

Our 17 Flagstaff 26RBWS (2606 sister), built in late 16, has the plywood flooring - but it was a brand new model for 17 and the first of the new ultra lite designs with the front windsheild.

Flooring

Decided to buy the 2018 Rockwood 8312SS. It was built early 17, but does have the plywood flooring, which would have been a deal breaker if it didn't. Happy with the unit so far.

They should use marine grade. So cheap.

My 2017 Rockwood Ultralite 2304DS was built on 12/15/2016 and has the plywood floor. So happy for that. I do have to find a way to better support that shower as my 240 lb. frame makes the pan give a little bit too much.

They must have run out of luan the day they built my 2016 Windjammer, because it has plywood.

Probably built late in 2015. My 2016 Mini Lite was built on 4/7/15; it's got Luan. Look on the white sticker on the left side of your TT for the build date.

I understand that somewhere between mine and yours, they switched.

I just took a look and the date on the sticker is 03/23/2015. That’s odd.

Maybe Windjammer started sooner than Mini Lite.
