Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S - Can I walk on the roof?

I'd like to get up there and clean it off, I'm wondering if it is safe to walk on it. Or should I just use a long handled brush?

Yes, you can walk on it. Make sure your shoes are clean and rock and grit free.

My 2104s felt really soft. I only climbed on one time, but it didn't feel very strong. Not sure what the factory recommends.

During my PDI I was told that my wife and I could both get on the roof if needed. We have a 2306, but I think all the MiniLites are made in the same fashion.

yep!

I have a 21DS and you can walk on it. It feels weird but you can do it. Take your tube of dicor with you. Saves another trip up the ladder.

We have a model 2305S 2016 Rockwood MiniLite. I was reading the owners manual and if I recall correctly, it said that if you have a ladder, then, the roof is reinforced. I walked on ours when covering it last fall and it felt secure.

I've had no problem walking on the roof of my 2014 2109S. I've been up there to add a vent cover, lube the tv antenna, clean the roof, etc.

Roof

I have a 2016 Rockwood Mini Lite 2104S and have climbed on the roof via the ladder installed on the back. I do it every three months just to check out the roof condition but do it on my hands and knees. No problems or concerns here as long as you do not walk on it like an elephant.

This thread is about Rockwood TTs.

Hybrids' roofs are different at the very front and back.
I stay along the edges of my hybrid. If I need to go towards the center, I use a piece of plywood.
Especially on a hybrid that old.

I was clyming with a plywood on my old Prowler 1985, so I will continued to do that with my new Hybrid 2000.
Thank you for the info.

My 2104s doesn't have a ladder and the dealer said only the manufacturer could put one on this model at time of build. I don't trust walking on mine, maybe crawling around the edges.

I don't believe having the ladder or not having the ladder changes anything with regards to the roof. You should be able to walk on it just like the guys with a ladder.

This is my understanding of it as well. The presence of a ladder just means you paid for that option(around $50 on our unit).

The ladder is an option. Mine doesn't have one so I just have to use my own ladder to get up there.
