Rockwood Mini Lite Outside TV Hookup

We are trying to figure out how to remove the TV and mount it outside. The dealer said it was easy and we can’t figure it out.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I had to take a small hammer to get mine up out of the mounting bracket. It may get easier the more times it’s removed.

The problem is we can’t even see how the mounting brackets are the same. Everything on the TV inside seems to be bolted.

The TV on my 2104s is just mounted on the bracket by two pins that slide down in to “keyholes” on the wall bracket. It’s made to fit on the outside bracket the same way. The two pins just slide down in to the keyholes. You shouldn’t need to unscrew anything. Mine was just wedged down tight, so I had to get a hammer to tap the tv lose from the wall bracket.

It had me confused too for about a year. Everyone said it just slips out. So I finally got the hammer and lifted it up out of bracket. Hope you enjoy your 2104 as much as we do. Can’t see myself pulling a big 5th wheel around.

I think it would be helpful to show us what the outside mount looks like. 2 circles? 1 downward facing triangle V or one of the dozen other mounts?

Do you have a telescopic mount on the tv or is the back of the TV mounted directly to the wall?

Mine is the V and my removable mount just slides right up with ease.

It can't be that difficult.

The outside mount is a downward facing V. The mount inside is telescopic, but it seems to be bolted and can not be budged.

That same V is inside, it just takes some force to get it off. The telescoping part stays inside. The V portion is right on the plate that is bolted to the back of the TV.

Thank you, that helps. At least we won’t be tugging on the wrong parts. I think we will need a hammer to try to wedge it out, but at least we are headed in the right direction!

I didn’t have to use a hammer, I just grab the outside edges of the TV and kind of do a light twisting back and forth side to side while lifting up and it slides out.

If this is the first time that the television is being moved, there may be a retaining pin holding the actual TV frame mount to the hinged "elbow" or the wall plate itself. That is what mine had... and a plastic zip tie that was an aggravation. I think the dealers install these things to prevent internal "shrink" if more than one employee is servicing the unit.

On my rig, the telescopic arm with the "male" V comes off the wall mount as one with the TV and slides into the "female" V on the outside ( which is identical to the inside).

The first time it's snug.

Just did it this weekend to watch the hockey game outside. On my ikss, the articulating arm comes off the wall with the tv.

Thank you everyone for your input. We were away over the weekend and saw someone with their TV outside and had TV envy. The TT is in storage now, but in a couple of weeks when we get it back out, we have some options to try to get the thing off the wall! Thanks All!

I had to dissemble the mount then take hammer and beat it up out. I saw it he problem was the v wedge all bent. Straightened it out took grinder to the v to reduce it from being to tight. Ok now easy out and in. Poor mfg

We have the same V-shaped mount. My TV is so close to the ceiling it's really hard to get a good grip to pull up for release as we were instructed to do, so I just purchased the same size smart tv and added the mount on back to match my TT exterior and do it that way. One more thing to haul around but in the end, much easier/less work for me.

Tv mount rockwood

I fixed the mount inside to remove the tv but I figured it was a hassle to take same tv outside. I also just bought another tv for outside use. I ordered tv back mount from the dealer to put on that tv. i paid dealer for mount and it was the wrong mount. He has ordered from rockwood two more and still not the right mount from the mfg. I guess I'll have to order one online myself. I know what I want why can't rockwood get it right
