A dealer told me that Mini tanks are rigid molded plastic and are therefore easier to clean.
We just bought a 2504s (haven't camped yet). Love the floorplan and many of the features. I am disappointed that Forest River doesn't make the black tank flush standard (or even an option) on the Mini Lites. Had a smaller Vcross Vibe previously and black tank flush was standard, and it worked well. Our tank was rigid plastic on the Vibe... Not sure what tanks aren't or what difference it makes.
I went ahead and had the dealer install one of the Camco Torpedo tank flushes before I took delivery of the new Mini Lite 2504s. As I said I haven't camped or de winterized yet, so I can't tell you how well it works. Will test it out in April.
As others have stated, you have other options for black tank rinse (wand, for example). While I wanted a built-in black tank flush, it wasn't a deal breaker. Good luck on your decision.
