Just got back from a seven day trip to Myrtle Beach. The outdoor kitchen was great. I had multiple people come up and complement me on the setup. We stayed at Ocean Lakes Campground and highly recommend it to anyone going to Myrtle Beach.

Like this trailer
We are considering the 8312SS but did not realize there was a couch option in the rear. Since it is the two of us, and will be camp hosting 8 months a year, we looked at this unit and our thoughts of putting in two lounge chairs in the rear, getting rid of the upper tier, putting in a small LCD for gaming back there, and converting the upper section on the TV side to shelves for storage.
We looked at a lot of trailers like this but found this one the most useful.
What is everyone using as a tow vehicle?

8312SS Towing Vehicle
You will no doubt enjoy the 8312SS as our family has. We have two younger children so the back bed situation works for us. Putting a couch in the rear is a good idea. We tow the unit with 2006 F150 with 5.4L. it pulls ok though I wish for a F250.

rvenneman I am not sure there would be enough room for two lounge chairs. We installed a small LCD in the TV spot and it has worked great for our children! I tow with a 2006 Dodge 2500 Hemi. I had some issues pulling on hills until I purchased a Bullydog chip and reprogrammed my shift points. The Hemi has more then enough power I just wish I could afford the fuel!

Hello everyone and fellow Forest River Owners ! ! I am new to this forum. I've been on RV.NET for many years. I previously owned a 2006 Rockwood Roo 23SS and now own a 2012 8312SS ! ! ! I took delivery of it last July, managed to rack up 51 camping nights in it in 2011 ! ! ! I look forward to sharing some of my ideas and mods, as well as learning from all of you ! !

Went and took a tour of a 8312SS last Friday. Nice! Wonder if anyone knows about the outdoor TV mount. The dealer showed us the mount but for the life of me I can't recall if there was a cable hookup on the wall or not.
Thanks!

Awsome trailer, we took delivery of ours May of this year, and love it. I tow with a Chevy 1500HD, no issues as of yet, I will be adding a chip though for further horse power.

Love our 8312 ss..... Now that we can tow it :-) first used my 02 Silverado 1500 well equipped mind you, 4:11 gears, built trans, Posi, rear sway bar, rear airbags, and a ton of bolt on goodies STILL had a tough time ! Traded in for an 08 GMC 2500 CC shortbed DURAMAX.......... What trailer ;-)
Anyway anyone know if you can use any other media for the outdoor tv thru the main unit?? I know I can use the coax cable I have outside but want to route DVD/iPod/ from the genesis to the outside tv.
Thanks and nice to be a new member!

Not to change the subject, but is your profile picture of your trailer with no decals on it?

Looking at trading in my Roo for a 2014 8312ss. I was wondering how many 8312ss owners are out there and their feedback.

Traded ours in last September. Liked it a lot. We Love or keystone outback 323bh we replaced it with. Much more open feeling and has a fifth wheel layout.

Did you ever get a fan cover mounted on your bathroom fan?
Quote:6. Fantastic fan in the bath. Is it really on a angle or is the picture i saw a little skewed. If so, has anyone mounted a vent cover to one? (see some issues with that going down the road sideways and scooping rain)
I have the same problem with mine and not sure what to do.
Thanks,
Mike
