rockwood signature ultra lite 8289ws recall

We took our 5th wheel in for it's yearly service and were told they had a recall out (I've looked everywhere and can not find any information on it). They (Camping World) said there was a problem with the axels and caused tire problems. (We have already had lots of tire problems). Has anyone heard of anything. Of course they have had our rig for 3 weeks and promised it would be done in 2. We have a trip this weekend and don't even know if we will get it back because of their crappy service. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM CAMPING WORLD.

Axle alert on windjammer 3025

Just got both my Axles changed at our Awesome local dealer "Vermont Country Campers". They ordered the axles two weeks later they took trailer for 4 hours and I was back on the road.
Keep an eye on your axle welds: Here is what mine looked like on my 4,000 lb Dexters

What years is this recall affecting? I have a 2013 and not received anything from Rockwood or Forest River regarding any recalls. I did receive a recall for axle issues on my old 2013 Flagstaff V-Lite, which I we traded a while back.

Your Old 2013 Flagstaff V-Lite and your New 2013 Rockwood were built in the same Building using the Same Axles? Most axles in 2013 were ALCO before the merge! Youroo!!

Ok now I'm cornfused? I read the recalls on the NHTSA's website and it states there are 2 recalls for Rockwood's line of trailers, 1 for tires and 1 for the axles. I guess I'll have to call my warranty manager Jake and get the scoop. My 5er is already having the front cap replaced under warranty. Better get the rest done at the same time.

Could this recall extend to the Flagstaff 5th wheels? If anyone can find the recall, please list a link.

Forest River Rockwood recall
Do not see an axle issue listed via the link. Did I miss it?

What year is your FW? Below is taken from the NHTSA website.

SUMMARY:
Forest River is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Rockwood, Windjammer, Vlite and Flagstaff travel trailers manufactured February 3, 2012, through February 4, 2013. When an affected trailer hits a large bump or pot hole, the trailer tire may contact the bottom of the floor.
CONSEQUENCE:
As a result, the tire may become damaged and possibly blow out which may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will add a lift kit between the frame and the axle mounting brackets, free of charge. Owners may contact Forest River at 1-574-825-7178.

Also there is a recall on the same model/build years for a faulty awning motor:

SUMMARY:
Forest River is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Forest River models Blue Ridge, Cardinal, Cherokee, Columbus, EVO, Georgetown, Flagstaff, Forester, Lexington, Puma, Rockwood, Sabre, Salem, Sandpiper, Sandstorm, Sierra, Stealth, Sunseeker, Wildcat, Wildwood, Work and Play and XLR; Coachmen models Brookstone, Catalina, Chaparral, Concord, Encounter, Freedom Express, Freelander, Leprechaun, Mirada, Pursuit, and Sportcoach; Prime Time models Avenger, Crusader, Lacrosse, Saniber, and Tracer; Palomino model Maverick Truck Camper; Cargo Mate model Eliminator and Shasta models Revere, Phoenix recreational vehicles manufactured from February 13, 2013, through April 18, 2013. Due to a design change in the power awning motor assembly, the motor assembly screws may unknowingly shear.
CONSEQUENCE:
If the motor assembly screws shear, it is possible that the awning can unfurl unexpectedly, either while the vehicle is at rest or while in transit, increasing the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.
REMEDY:
Forest River will notify owners and Dometic staff will replace the affected motors with motors of a different design. The safety recall began on July 29, 2013. Owners may contact Forest River at 1-574-389-4600 or Dometic at 1-888-447-0003 for more information. Owners are being instructed not to drive their vehicle until repairs can be performed.
NOTES:

Yes, saw that, but, the first post seems to indicate a problem with the axle to frame welds. Wondering if the same or a separate issue.

Thats the most recent recalls for axles at this time. I would imagine OP either purchased a used trailer or has a trailer that falls in that recall and just found out about it. OP never mentioned what year/model of FW they have. Also the dealer could be using that excuse to keep the trailer to complete the service...Camping Worlds not the best in customer service after the sale.
