Rockwood UL 2707ws

We are looking for a couples floorplan with more kitchen and pantry storage than our present trailer. Looks like this floor plan covers most of our needs. Only down side is the outside slide takes up a lot of the outside seating but we love the extra room inside.

Looking for comments (pro and cons) from present owners of this floorplan.

Rockwood Ultra Lite 2707ws

Still looking for comments. Any owners out there? Also looking at the 2608BS but we miss some of the outside storage with the 2707ws

We have the 2703WS and love it as a couples camper. There is a dinette slide but the awning doesn't go that far. It is a 15 foot awning and seems to have plenty of seating area for us.

We love it.

Can’t comment on the 2703WS but we did just purchase a 2608BS. I’ll make a few comments on the 2608 but be advised our first shakedown trip is this coming weekend so no actual usage yet.

Both slides are on the opposite side of the trailer from the patio so no problem with the seating area due to the slides. However there are two sets of stairs so I’m wondering if our patio space will be limited. We can always put one set up if needed.

We’ve been getting the interior ready and tomorrow we finish stocking the kitchen. So far we are thrilled with the storage space but found the three kitchen drawers to be a bit on the small side. We did find today at Bed Bath and Beyond some drawer organizers that fit these smaller size drawers.

We are gonna love the bedroom storage, can’t wait to load up some clothing. Our last trailer was very limited in the bedroom.

I have mostly finished loading the outside storage and have found it adequate. I eliminated as much as possible since the larger storage is in the rear of the trailer and i don’t want to weigh down the rear more than necessary. The front storage area does share space with the under the sink cabinet. I’ll chime in more after this weekends outing.

X2...We really like our 2703 also...The two rear opposing slides really open up the interior.....Sadly from the looks of it FR discontinued manufacturing it after the 2019 model.

I didn't notice there was no 2020. That's a shame.

We have neither (ours is a 29FBSS) but I like the 2608. Went to the factory last week and they were building 32 of then that day I think. I like the open space inside a trailer with opposing slides but it does take some outside space. I also tow with a 1/2 ton truck and I would be worry about towing one with the extra weight located so far back on the trailer. That's just me though. I'm sure either trailer will be nice.

We have a 2019 2707 and absolutely love it. We thought the awning would be a con but it's not. Having the outdoor kitchen more than makes up for it. It has tons of room! We have not touched many of the interior cabinets. We are thinking about maybe selling ours only because the DW wants to go bigger and also get one with rocking chairs.

Rockwood UL 2707ws

My wife sorta bemoans the shorter length of the awning on our 2016 2703ws. But then I pointed out that we really haven’t spent much time under our awning anyway. I love the interior room provided by the opposing slides. We love (almost) everything about our trailer. But we learned from owning a sailboat that everything involves a compromise.
