What we found with our 4x4 truck was that the 8244WS can't ride level when hitched, no matter how high or low the hitch is positioned. The 17-inch wheels are at least two inches too big in diameter and the new 3/4-ton trucks (the 1/2-tons too) have very deep side walls. So, we tow it with a slight rearward lean and try to find slightly sloping campsites if we are not planning to unhook the trailer for the night. After a year of use and 15,000 miles of towing, the rear trailer tires do not appear to be wearing any faster than the front ones.
