About a year ago, I asked if anyone had a Factory mounted TV in then bedroom of the 3006wk and there were no answers so I think most of them out there come without it. I sent an email to Forest River and the only response I got back was "there will be a sticker showing where the backing for the TV mount is located, that is where you should mount it". I asked if they could tell me where they normally put the backing for the TV mount and never heard back. I didn't pursue it because I have 24" PC monitors I use as a work setup so we just turn one of them towards the bed. I guess this was a long way of asking, does your WJ have the TV mount backing in the wall? And also stating, the bracket should be no problem, the issue will be, can the wall handle the weight?

Yes there is a sticker on the wall, so I would think or hope like hell it will hold 15 to 20 pounds.

Cool, can you shoot a pic of that? Or tell me where it is located, (pic would be great though). I would like to see if ours has backing there and the location would be documented on this forum for others to look up.

It's in storage right now,but it's on the back wall of the TT between the mirror closet on the left wall and the back window as you are standing in the bedroom looking at the back wall.

Thanks, did that and found the pic, I guess the 2017 has a much smaller window on the back wall so the TV fits better on yours than ours. I just knocked in that area on mine and I don't think there is any backing there. BTW, I like the smaller window.

Now that I see how it is mounted, on ours with the slide in there is about 27-28" from the closet to slide edge when closed. There is about 6" from the back wall to the slide. So, unless the 32" TV and bracket can close up against the wall and be within 6 inches of the wall, I think the slide might hit it. Our 32" TV in the living room is almost exactly 6" from the wall. It is so close I think you better measure the distances on yours. I wonder what size of TV is shown in he Pic.

I have the same request. I got a Pdf of the structural drawings for the trailer from Chuck Peterson at FR. It shows where the TV mounting backplate is and size. Use 1/2 " SS #8 or #10 screws. If you request the same maybe he can do the same.

Our WJ came with the 22" tv and connections mounted on the rear bedroom wall...same side as the mirrored closet or left hand side facing rear wall. It protrudes about 5" from the wall and there is approximately 6" of space when the slide is in.
I'd send you pics but she's hibernating

Good luck with your project.

Happy Trails

I’ve got a 2016. I’m trying to mount a tv as well. I wanna do a br@cket on the wall that scissors out but a separate tv plate bolted to the tv so it only hangs while camping and comes off during travel.

My cable port are over the small counter beside the closet but they don’t appear to get any cable signal so something isn’t right.

I’d really prefer the tv be mounted on the back wall by the closet. But not sure if or where there’s a plate.

What’s a good contact at FR that I could reach out to and ask?
