Does anyone have a tongue weight on a Windjammer 3008W w/diamond package, propane tanks, batteries, food, pot & pans, ready to go do the road?
We are looking at purchasing this unit, but concerned it will be too heavy for my 2013 F150 ecoboost. It has a towing capacity of 9600 lbs.
I was pulling my 3008W with the Ecoboost and it did great. We have been from sea level to over 10,000 ft. and never had an issue. I moved up to a 2500HD diesel because we are moving up to a fiver.

I was thinking since dry hitch is 890#, by the time you add 2 30# tanks=110#, 2 batteries=120#, food, dishes etc=60#, you would be close to 1180 lbs, which would be close to the limit of the trucks tongue weight. We are flip flopping between the Windjammer 3008 and Rockwood 2703WS, which is a lighter unit, but still has lots of counter space for the Mrs. and big rear entertainment area.
Since you are considering the Rockwood 2703WS, a point to consider is that when the unit slides are in, you can not use the stove, sink and possibly the refrigerator as the 3008 you can when travelling and stopping to eat at lunch time.
