Rockwood Windjammer 3025 or the Signature Ultra Light 8329?

I'm considering these two and have to decide. Very similar floor plans. The difference is the larger bathroom in the V in the front in the 3025. The 8329 has the window in the front bedroom. We are considering both with the diamond package. Any thoughts, opinions or suggestions. Working on a price to settle on. Both are 2014.

Makes it easier for members to comments with both pictures side by side......top picture is Windjammer 3025 and bottom Rockwood 8329SS.

Both units are nice. When the slides are in, some of the kitchen appliances can not be used. When the bedroom slide is in the Windjammer, you have to crawl over the bed to access bathroom. If you have guest sleeping over, it's nice to have two entry doors, but with the Windjammer, they have to go through your bedroom to get to bathroom??

Thanks Fonzi. You bring up some good points there. Hope to get more responses. Also thanks for putting in the floorplans. People can click on them to compare. People seem to get excellent feedback from this website.

Also note that the 8329 has 2 awnings and the main one is larger and that on the 3025 part of the awning is taken up by the kitchen slide out so you have less covered outdoor space. We have the 8289WS 5er which in living area is the same and love ours and watching TV works great from any seat.

We were also considering both of these plans as well as the 3029. Like Fonzie said, the deal killer on the 3025 for us was guests having to walk thru your bedroom while you are asleep to use the bathroom!! Also the 3029 has an island that you have to walk around to get to the kitchen instead of being open and had no place for the tow stools. We actually ended up ordering a Flagstaff 832IKBS which is the same unit as the Rockwood 8329 because we could get it for $800 less and the dealer already had one on order. We ordered because we wanted two A/C units and minimal carpet. Still no date set for getting it but we are hoping to have it at the end of this month or early June.

GL1800. Isn't the Flagstaff 8321 the same as the Signature 8329? I thought you did not like that model because of the kitchen. We are considering and pricing with the Diamond Package.

The Flagstaff 832IKBS is the same as the Rockwood 8329. _love the kitchen, it even ha s a place under the upper cabinets where we can plug in our can opener from our old tt. You can't beat the tv viewing area and how open the living area is in the 8329/832IKBS. If you with the Diamond package you should be able to buy for less than $32500 with the fireplace as long as you don't want the 2nd ac which adds about 1000 more.

The one I'm considering doesn't have the fireplace. Is it easy to install? Fireplace worth getting? Also doesn't have TV in bedroom. I am around $ 32,000.00 in my dealing.

We compared the same two trailers when we were looking to buy, and we arrived at the same conclusions as (1) Fonzie concerning the 3025's bathroom location which would cause overnight guests to have to walk through our bedroom to get to the bathroom; and (2) GL1800's observation concerning the 3025 seeming to us to lack much remaining awning to sit under when the entry-side slide is out. But that was simply how the 3025 seemed to us and our situation. We like virtually everything else about it. We wound up going with the Signature 8329, which we found for us holds several additional advantages. Good luck in your decision!

Mike

We have the 3008W ... with the front kitchen, the wife loves it for all the counter space it offers. The only issue with that model is the tongue weight. Unlike the 10% rule, at 7039 pounds id "should" weight about 700 pounds ..... wrong. With the appliance in the front it has a tongue weight of close to 1,000 pounds.

With both slides in, all parts of the rv are accessible.
