roof tear

We're camping, and DH is on the roof, installing vent covers. He noticed a small tear in our roof. Can we just cover the tear with some dicor?

Yes you can, They make a sealer but you need to to clean the area with acetone. Apply the tape and then use some self leveling dicor over the tape. You can find the products at CW or Amazon. com your tear will only be a bad memory. Alot of folks just use the tape but I think it's best to seal over the area. You sure do not want water going under the tape. I don't think it would with the tape, but it will give you an ease of mind. for just a few bucks more. I always keep the tape, sealer and acetone with me, you never know.
