Here is what I was told when I called about my Work and Play toy hauler. If it has a metal roof, walk only in the middle, no support on the sides. (This is how a Work and Play is built). If it has a rubber roof, it has full wood to glue the rubber to, so an average person, under 200 pounds, will be fine. If two go up, as in to change an air conditioner, don't both stand in the same place.

As a part time tech, I have seen as many as 4 on a roof, when we had to change one of the rubber ones. All in different places, and none of weighed over 180 pounds.

Sorry, can't help with a Rockwood specfically, as we don't sell them.

roof loading

I had to go on top of our Rockwood 8280ws to replace a crank-up vent cover. I called Forest River and they said the roof would handle my 200 lbs. I made sure there were no stones caught in my shoes that would harm the rubber roof. The roof seemed solid and my wife said there was not any movement from the ceiling as I walked on it. I looked at the pamplet for the Rockwood and it seems the roof is only luan/styrofoam/luan glued sandwich construction with only alum. framing in key points like the A/C. All I can say is be carefull and good luck.

At my former "so called" dealer I had a bubble in my roof membrane I was worried about. The "Tech" that went on the roof to check it out had to go 260 - 280 pounds. No dents to speak of so as long as you don't step where the panel seams are, you should be OK.
