rw sig. series vs ultralite

Could anyone tell me what the upgrades/differences are between the Rockwood signature series and the ultralites. We have the 2701ss ultralite and like the unit, but would of added a few minor things, such as a switch just inside the door for one of the lights when entering the trailer at night. Not a big deal but would of probably sprung for the extra 10 or 20 bucks for this convenience. Thanks for your response.

Best to compare the list of features of each from Forest River's site.

Motorized rear stablizer jacks
Free standing table and chairs
Hide-a-bed air mattress
Serta queen bed
outsude gas BBQ
Outside speakers
Tinted windows
Large slide atrium windows
Black water tank cleanout flush

Does your signature series have wall mounted switches for the lights, most notably just inside the entry door?

There are no wall mounted switches on the inside of exterior walls. They try to mount the switches in the closest partition wall or cabinet to the entry door. Some owners have installed switches near the entry door on their own. In fact, a member on this board, by the name of Jas, has done it recently.

On our 8315BSS all of the exterior light switches are on the main control panel (the panel with the slide switches, the water heater and pump switches and the holding tank/battery state indicators). This panel is inside the main entry door in the interior wall which separates the living room/kitchen area from the bathroom.

Don't forget insulated and enclosed underbelly ,additional height, scare lights.
Well worth upgrading to Signature line IMO for small cost difference.

I have the ultralight 2601BH. It has most of the features you described but no the ceiling light switches must be turned on one at a time. My biggest complaint with the the ultra is the bunk house has 2 "coffin" size bunks. I guess it's the best they could do with keeping the weight down. Otherwise, it's great and tows very well behind my 4.7l tundra.
