The waiting is definitely tough! When you do get it, I hope you enjoy it as much as we have so far! We've been on several weekends so far and are heading out Sunday for a week at Otter Lake Campground in PA.

We only had one minor problem which was the water heater failed to light after multiple attempts on our second weekend. Only took a few minutes to fix though. Just some corrosion or something on the igniter causing it to not spark correctly.

I'm glad they made some improvements in our 2017. Especially the slide motor mount that several members here had problems with ripping out. Its now bolted to a heavy steel bracket that bolts to the floor and the wall.

We also love the rounded glass door shower!

So my husband and I are spending the day hooking up our new 2017 2109s in the backyard, which is tricky because we little or no level ground. We don't have 30amp service installed yet, so we plugged it into house current and have all the windows open and the bathroom fan on high. (It's horribly hot here today). In a little bit I'm going to go out and turn the refrigerator on. We did put the awning out and the slide out. What an awesome place to hang out!

I always keep mine plugged in at home from the fist trip of the season to the last. I don't have a 30 amp hookup either, but the 15 amp is plenty to keep the fridge on, use a fan when necessary, etc. Really anything but the air conditioning.

For us, leaving it plugged in is just easier. That way we just leave drinks and all the other stuff that won't spoil right in the fridge between trips. When we stock up for a trip, the food goes right from the truck to the camper since the fridge is always cold.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. We discovered the freezing when the toilet would not flush in the middle of the night. I don't know if the lines within the trailer froze solid, but there was ice around the water inlet for the campground's water hose. The temperature on our thermometer was 26 degrees. I just plugged in an electric heater under the front of the trailer and hoped for the best. In the morning the campground hose was still frozen, but I turned on our water pump, which drew water from the tank just fine. I have since taped styrofoam insulation around the hose under the trailer, but have not had a night that cold to test this.

Remember - the insulation only slows down freezing, it won't stop it. You need to run water through it periodically or warm it up above freezing periodically.

Reminds me of a friend of mine who had a job at a 7-Eleven type of place. One of his co-workers put a bunch of soda out in a shed behind the place and was surprised when it froze. "But the shed is insulated!" he said. Yeah, but but it had no heat source, so it still ended up going below 32F. It just took it a couple of days.
