Search for trailer

We have spent the past month looking for a new or used TT. We have enjoyed our Shamrock 23ss for the past 4 years but are looking to upgrade to a couples trailer. We are overwhelmed by all the choices out there but definitely want a rear living trailer. We have a Dodge Ram 1500 with a v8 hemi, so want a light trailer under 30'. We really love the Rockwood 2604ws but the Crossroads Catalina 27rl is more reasonably priced. We would like to purchase one of these next week. Any suggestions?

I had a 2604 for 2 seasons, great trailer!
I you go with this, you will like it I'm sure.
Light weight and easy to pull, plenty of storage, nice large bathroom, great floorplan for 2 people.

Thanks Black. I notice that you have a Ford F250. What did you pull the 2604 with? I did mention that we have a Dodge Ram 1500. Big enough to pull the 2604?

We have the twin to the 2604 and it works great for us. We are outside most of the time, but during bad weather when stuck inside, there is plenty of room to move around! During those times, I normally pour my drink of choice and watch out the big rear window!

Good luck and enjoy whatever TT you purchase!

We have looked at a lot of trailers and other Rockwoods, but have not been in a 2604. One thing I'm wondering about is the bedroom. I don't think there's a window in the bedroom other than the one over the bed. Does that even open? I wouldn't want to leave the door open at night - bears where we camp & dogs in the trailer. What do you do. We only use air if it's really hot & we're in Ontario so rarely hot.

The other trailer we were looking at was actually the 263 RL Coachman Catalina. I guess there is another window in the bedroom of the Rockwood. I think we'll order next week if I can convince my husband.

Rockwood 2703SS is what we had and I pulled it just fine with a properly equipped F150. Need to check specs on the truck for MAX Tow ratings first.

Since late 2014 models...so about a year ago , they actually installed a window beside the door.
The one in the front does not open...never quite understood why not.

You roo

We have never had a problem. We have photos from over the years of bears walking on by. They're heading for the sites with coolers left out or bar fridges. Our dogs keep very quiet when they hear the bears. But I think we are tempting fate. Looking forward to a relaxing summer.

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 (Big Horn) with the hemi and we just recently upgraded from a 16' to a 2015 Evo 2700. I was nervous we would need a bigger truck, but it pulls it just fine. Plenty of power left to get up a mountain, feels stable, and stops just fine. The 2700 is an awesome floorplan and the bunks in the back with the lift give you a ton of extra storage when on the road.

I checked out the Mini Lite. The Murphy bed looks really cool. We have 2 large dogs & they are asking for something a little bigger. Do you have a Mini Lite?

I'm sure you'll love it !
I had 2, the first one was white without the wardrobe slide, the second Emerald package and with the wardrobe slide.
Big improvement in storage.
You bought the Emerald package ?

Yes. We bought the Emerald Package. Love the wardrobe slide. Our liitle Shamrock had a great wardrobe. I didn't want the upgrade and have less storage.
