The bumper tubes are welded on the bottom and the (flash/slag) cuts at the sewer hoses along with rust added to the equation. We lined the inside with (Vinyl soffit).Any home vinyl siding company will have this, comes in 12foot sheets. We have ours lined with Vinyl and (NO) wear of the (Hoses) for many years, our hoses are (Valterra HD). We even had enough hose for (Goshen)! Yes the Bumper is for Sewer Hose storage,But it needs Help! Youroo!!

Hey MillerTime - where did you find BLACK fencepost covers?

All my Lowes has is white...I was going to paint one to blend with our bumper (would you believe it, there are NO structures on the underside of a 2014 Rockwood 8289WS to hang anything rom - it is all sealed with insulation)

I painted it. I used a red scotch brite to scuff it, wiped it down with alcohol and painted it.

On my 8289WS, I removed the plastic inserts inside the two (left and right) storage compartment doors to gain access to the upper side of the frame.

I then drilled up from the bottom in line with center of the metal strip that holds the belly wrap on through the frame and used long bolts (with 1-1/2" washers) and nylock nuts to mount the fence posts.

Those inserts inside the doors come out and go back in very easy.

That is also how I accessed the frame when I installed the Eliminator Stabilizers.
