Sharp bed frame Corners

The corners of the end of the bed frame are metal reinforced corners and are very sharp. If the mattress, which is very light, moves over by accident, it is easy to scrape my leg against it. I temporarily taped pipe foam insulation on it and it isn't staying on every well. I am looking for a more permanent solution. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the bed corner?

I found the answer! Sorry, I can't post a picture because I just took the trailer back to storage. I did a search for "corner guards" and found some foam corner guards at Home Depot. They come with a light self adhesive that doesn't stick very well so I screwed them onto the plywood. Problem solved!

Had a similar issue with wood corners ripping into mattress back when lifting up storage. Bought child safety bumpers for corners and that fixed that. Might work for your problem.Click image for larger version

Good to know, I may need to do the same. Thanks

Blam, I didn't think of the sharp corner tearing the mattress when
lifting the bed up so I'm glad that you brought it up. If my corner guards don't work, I will use your solution. Thanks!

bed corner

Okay, call me cheap! I cut the bottom corners off of a square plastic ice cream bucket and tacked them onto the sharp corners of the plywood deck under the mattress. Works fine and I got to eat the ice cream.

Why not sand off the corner a bit to make it round? Even cheaper.

I like the ice cream bucket solution! Unfortunately, my model has aluminum frame around the wood so it couldn't be sanded.
