Shore power

All,

Here is a real bone head question. I got the TT home and started preparing it for our first camp this weekend. I was given an adapter for the 30 amp cord by the dealer and told that I could use it to plug in at home to charge the battery. I got nothing. Is this wrong? The only thing I can run is DC. Is it the amperage? I guess in the mean time I can charge the battery with my truck. Thanks,

you need to turn your breakers inside your camper on. i had the same thing and could not figure out for the life of me the batteries were not charging. turned on the breakers (except for the ac breaker because it is not a good idea to run the ac) everything worked fine..

i hope this helps

TB,
I think I have a bad 30 amp cable. Took readings at the plug and the end of the cable. I got 120 at the adapter and nothing at the plug end that goes in the TT. I should see some voltage, yes? Thanks,

Shore Power

TB,

Thanks. I have given up for the night. Going to send the wife to the dealer tomorrow with the cable and have them test it. I should have made them connect my TT with my 30 amp cable. That would have ruled at any problems. If the cable is good then my neighbor has a generator that we are going to hook up tp and see if we can get power that way. I know the AC was working at the PDI on their 30 Amp cable. Electrons just piss me off.... I can deal with plumbing and mechanical stuff, but electrical makes me drink. Thanks for all your help and advice. Later,
