shower plug 8289ws

we have just taken delivery in england of 8289ws, just love it.
does anyone know if it is possible to remove the plug in the shower, it lifts a small distance at an angle to allow water to drain, but i cant seem to get it out, if not removable how can you clean it from hair etc.,

Yes, it should pop out.

Be sure to get a wire strainer to fit in the hole to capture hair etc, or you will be dealing with a clog at the P trap. The wire strainer is cheap. I got mine at Walmart.

We just pulled it off. Don't use the plug any longer.

I'd keep it. Put it back in when not in use. You may get bugs in from the tanks if it sits around long enough. The less openings the better.

Plug

We keep ours handy to put in while stored and also when the grandson travels with us. When he want to take a bath we put it in and run an inch or so of water in the basin and let him take a bath. With the doors shut he can play, get clean and not make a mess in the trailer. Of course i am sure it depends on what shower you have as well, ours is the curved glass door design.
