Side Kick grill

Purchased my Windjammer in mid December 2013, camper was winterized and placed in storage. Over the next few months I familiarized myself with the working components of the TT. Well we fast forward 7 months a few camping trips later I realize that my sidekick grill doesn't have a drip pan. Not sure if one was in the box or not. My dealer has been great and I decided not to bother him with a missing part issue. I was able to locate the customer service # on this site and gave them a call. They are sending me the drip tray at no charge. I was amazed. I think most Forrest River units use this grill. Service like this kinda restores your faith in the system. The drip pan, not a big deal probably a $4.00 item but it made me a happy camper.

Funny just received mine in the mail 2 weeks ago after realizing I was missing it. It's a $2.80 part. It worked good on our last trip.

I guess we need to remember to check all the pieces when purchasing a new TT. I think I was so busy playing with everything else I overlooked it. Glad to see they give good service even months after the purchase.

That drip pan easily slides out of it's holder.
Did you get the bag that covers the grill?
If you put the grill back in the bag it will prevent the drip pan from getting lost.

Yes, I use the cover. My unit was used as a display at RV shows. When I picked it up several items were missing ie; Propane hose for outside grill , satellite radio , along with a shelf for the kitchen. I am assuming they just got misplaced during the show or transporting. I think I have accounted for everything I am supposed to have. It really hasn't been a big deal I have managed to get everything replaced using very little effort.

LOL, we've had 2 Sidekicks and after fighting the drip pan on the first one a couple of times, my Missouri Irish kicked in and in the trash it went. Next one went in the trash the first time we used the new grill. They are IMO totally useless as we line the bottom with alum. foil anyway. The thing they need to do more than add the drip pan is add a protection to the striker electrode similar to what I did.

The propane hose on our TT is under a pop open cover on the side of the trailer. It is hooked up to the propane line and is not removable (at least not without a lot of effort). I bet yours is in the same place.
Open the round cover and pull out the hose.
Did you get the little grill table that hooks onto the same piece of channel that the grill hooks to?

No compartment. My hookup is located under the chassis just below the grill slide and I use a quick disconnect on both ends. I am learning even though they may be the same make and year, some components are different for what ever reason. Funny story, when I first hooked up the grill I was unable to light it, after looking around with a lot of frustration I finally noticed a valve under there that turned the propane on. You can tell I listened real close to the PDI.
