Sig ultra lite 8329ss bed slide
Hello all. I have a question about the bed slide in my 8329ss. It moves by a single gear rail. When it slides in or out, it does not move square. As it moves, it shifts from side to side not straight out. Need help identifying the issue. Thanks for any help you all can provide

If it goes in and out without binding and seals at the end of the travel is the back and forth motion really an issue.

Ours does too although not a lot and it never binds. The motor never seems to work harder.

Ours does the same thing. I was wondering if there was something wrong also, but it hasn't been a problem.

My does this as well. Never been a problem. Agree that having it on 2 would have been a better idea.

Bedroom slide in my 8329ss does the same. I watch it carefully each time but it always seems to end correctly lined up. Pretty crazy watching it weave back and forth.

Not really an issue, just don’t want it to turn into an issue down the line.

Have you used any of the slide lube on it? The one on our V-Lite seems to move pretty evenly. I used the dry lube several times a year.

I actually used lube right before the start of our trip. I can keep it straight if I have someone push the button. I am going to investigate more when I am on a cement pad large enough for me to lay to take a look

I have the same issue with our bed slide. I think the slide mechanism is a LCI Lo Profile slide system. At the end of travel, the bed shifts side to side but it always seals correctly. I do have som metal filings under the bed so I'm gonna check it out in more detail today. Can't find any into on the LCI website except how to adjust the in and out stops.

I believe any slide with a single mechanism is going to wobble a bit; it's the nature of the beast.

Had a tech look at mine at Goshen. He explained that in certain configurations, they cannot put the actuator in the center of the slide. When that happens, due to 'slop' (my term) in the rack and pinion setup that keeps it square, you get a bit of 'wander' as it opens and closed. Its really pronounced in a bed slide because the movement is amplified due to the length of the bed. What might be half and inch at the headboard becomes 3-4 inches at the other end due to the lever-arm action of the bed.
I had the tech (and another one outside) watch the action thru 3 close-open cycles and they said that while disconcerting, its normal for this type of setups and nothing to worry about.

Bed slide
We have an 8332BC and the bed slide does the same thing. Must be norm. Glad someone posted on this issue.
