Sink Cleaner

Hi All: I have a 2012 3001W Windjammer with a molded composite kitchen sink. The service of the material stains and gets marked very easily. So far the only thing that seems to work is soaking it for a period of time with a bleach and water solution. I don't want to use any course cleaners because of possible damage. Has anyone found a good safe way to clean this product Thanks; Frank

I found that a Mr Clean Eraser works really well.

Just be careful of the Magic Eraser, those are actually a very fine sandpaper. I found that out while trying to clean some spots on hardwood floors in an apartment I once rented.

Try using------------

Try using the "WEIMAN" Glass cook top cleaner or any glass cook top cleaner.

Works for us!

Thanks Daisy: I have not heard of that product but on the other hand I have never had a glass cook top. I will look for it. Frank

I believe that Bar Keepers Friend is very abrasive, which would make it inappropriate for a composite (plastic) sink.

We just use Lysol with bleach every couple days...just spray it and let it sit for a couple minutes, then rinse it down. No elbow grease required!

I just use glass top cook stove cleaner and a regular dish sponge with the green pad on the back for the heavy marked area. I haven't scratched the sinks yet, work well for us.

Sink Cleaner

I was at my dealer last week for a furnace motor replacement and the ladies there both recommended Reliable. They said to dilute it as recommended and it will work great Something else to try. Frank

Bar Keepers Friend is a low abrasive cleaner, listed as safe for Corian and acrylic surfaces by the manufacturer. But specificly not recomented for marble and coated or anodized metals. It is bleach free so it should not discolor surfaces. We use it on our granite/composite sink at home. As always, try it on a unobtrusive surface first to gauge results.

I asked the same question and one suggested soft scrub. That and a little scrubbing with a sponge worked well.

I've used Soft Scrub and it worked on tea and coffee stains very well. It has bleach in it and it's not very abrasive.

Bio Cleaner Multi-Purpose Cleaner and Microfiber 4-piece Kit

This stuff is AWESOME! I used to use Bar Keeper's Friend, but this stuff will take off burned-on grease on pots and pans, takes burned grease off stainless stove tops, etc. with little to no elbow grease. Not to mention how easily it cleans shower walls and doors...soap scum gone in a couple of swipes.

Too lazy to go look at one of my containers, but it's "all natural", made from clay imported from somewhere.

Nope, I don't own stock in it.
