Skid Bars

We are looking to get a Windjammer 3008W or its equivalent in the Flagstaff line. The trailers do not seem to come with skid bars on the back to prevent dragging anything important on dips. My old Holiday Rambler had them and even though they rarely hit, they did get used occasionally. Are these things not needed now?

Anything you add to the bottom of the frame reduces the clearance. When people add wheels to the rear they come into contact before the frame and lifts the trailer up. What did they gain? Watch where you go or lift the trailer with a Mod of your choice. Youroo!!

hehbr, the trailer doesn't have something like this on the bottom of the frame ??

I almost wiped out my rear ladder and fiberglass end cap attemting to back up my steep driveway. I had no problem with my old Jayco TT, but the longer Beast is a different story. I welded 2 steel plates then bolted 6" skid wheels to them. Not an issue any longer.

Just scraped my spare tire and bent the mount. Have not had a chance to completely remove it yet to determine the extent of the damage.
Happened when exiting a BBQ joint in East Texas yesterday. I had no idea it had happened until we stopped for fuel about 200 miles later.
