skid wheels on 2702SS

Hi, my wife and I purchased a 2012 Rockwood 2702SS about a month ago. Used it a few times and love everything about it! We have a steep drive though, and have used skid wheels in the past with no problems, on a Kiwi 23B and SP-295.

I was underneath the 2702SS and noticed an L Bar (on both sides) welded to the frame, about two feet in from the bumper and a foot long. The bar had maybe 10 holes randomly drilled in it. There is nothing attached to these bars, other than that they are welded to the frame. Im wondering if these bars are not intended for skid wheels. Im assuming these might be on other models as well

Does anyone know what those bars are intended for? Its not a huge deal for us, to get it in the drive. But it would be nice for maintenance, winterizing and the such, not to do it out in the street...

Thank you,

Sorry the pics took so long, but here they are Does anyone know the intended purpose of these bars? They are about a foot or two, in from the rear bumper. I'm hoping they are for skid wheels...

My 2604 has the same piece of metal too. I can't see it being for skid wheels being as it's too far forward from the rear bumper. Skid wheels need to be placed about where the jacks are, as far to the rear as possible. Also the metal bar if the same as mine would not hold any reasonable amount of weight, the skid wheels would probably rip it. If you really need skid wheels, I'd look at moving the jacks to that bar and mounting the shid wheels where the jacks are currently
