Slide Issue

Just spent a nice three days at Meridian State Park (Texas). Hot but pretty and nice nature trails if you hike early morning while still cool. Anyway, got home this afternoon and started to unload. Needed to open the slide since the 2607 bathroom door is blocked unless the slide is open. Hit the slide button and it started out then stopped and gears slipped. After much looking found that the motor for the slide is under the couch. It is (was) mounted to the fiberboard wall with four one inch long 1/4" lag bolts. All four were out. Matter of fact, still haven't found the fourth. The motor was binding against the couch above it and preventing the slide to move. Put the three back in, two of them were totally stripped out. One is holding somewhat but it was enough to be able to get the slide out and back in. Question is, what do I do about the lag bolts. Can't see what's behind the fiber board so don't know if I have room to put some wood behind or not. Will look in more detail tomorrow. Just wondered if anyone had encoutered such an issue.

Someone posted about this problem. They made a repair, but don't remember what was done. If I find the post, I'll link it here.

Tks Mike. Also searched this forum and found a similar example. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...blem-4621.html I'm hesitant to drill through outer shell but they may be the simplest way. I'll post fix when I decide and get it done.
