Just back the screws out a little and you have all the room you need. The more you look the more you will discover, take some pics with notes for next years use. Make sure you close all the storage and bathroom door before the slide is brought.

Do you have a link to the video. Might be good to save in case an issue arises

Another thing I did was climbed underneath it and tied up some of the words better and took a wire brush and painted a few rust spots I found on some welds

If you follow that link to YouTube, it has a few more videos of this system.

Also go to the Lippert/Schwinteks web site for downloadable owners manuals which my dealer told me weren't available.

When I checked under my sofa, the motor is just screwed into the trailer wall, not into the aluminum frame, so the screws stripped the hole when they pulled out. The motor puts out so much torque that it also blew the slide fuse when it broke loose from the wall. My emergency repair today has been to put the screws back in with Gorilla Glue on the threads and a stack of books under the motor to keep it level. Then I replaced the 30 amp fuse tha I searched all over for. It is located in a fuse holder attached to wiring beneath the frame of the trailer below the left side of the basement, not in the basement where it would be protected from weather. It is labeled "Not more than 30A." Fortunately, I carry a big supply of 15A and 30A fuses, so replacement was easy once I found the fuse.

Lesson learned and advice for others: watch the attachment points for your Rockwood slide motors, as they may be screwed into some pretty flimsy material.
I just checked mine today, 1 top bolt was out completely & the other 3 were loose. Tightened them up & opened the slide, closed it & they are loose again. I can't get it to the dealer until September 5th . I guess they are busy. I'll try a wood block for the motor to keep it level & hope for the best. I need it to work 1 more time for a trip to Acadia, ME on the 19th.

raspivey, where did you find the troubleshooting guide for the slide? I'd like to view it.

Thanks

Oh, I just noticed that you already posted it.

The problem I'm having is that when the slide is extended it moves up and down when you sit down or get up. It seems like it is not fully seated or something.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

It shouldn't move noticeably, at least mine doesn't. Make sure it's run all the way out (stops on it's own) before you let go of the switch. Other than that, all I can suggest is to take it in and look at maybe having it adjusted.

It didnt start doing it until I sprayed some lubricant on the bottom gears of the slide.
I run it out until it starts clicking.

Found the slide fuse under the frame

After reading all the comments on the 2109 slide, I crawled under the trailer and found the 30 amp in-line fuse. Sure enough it sits there all exposed to rain and road slop. Forest River should have put this in the storage compartment. As a hopeful fix, I cut the thumb off one of my nitrile gloves that I use for sewer dumping. Stretched the thumb and put it over the fuse. Hopefully this keeps the water out. So far so good.
