Slide out light's wire

We have a 2000 2602 and there is a 12v wire that plugs in to the inside dining room area in the actual camper and then plugs in to the bottom of the slide. This powers the lights above the dinette in the slide. It's a male to male 12 volt wire. Well, the kids forgot to unplug it and put the slide in or out and the slide ran over the wire and killed it. I can not find a replacement anywhere!

Does anyone know what this wire is called or know where I can get another one?

You mean you are supposed to plug in and unplug the slide out power every time? Poor design. I would just splice it back together (maintaining correct polarity) if there is sufficient slack to do so. If not, I would cut off the ends and splice in a piece or wire to fit. I would also find a way to keep it plugged in and not have to worry about unplugging it all the time.

If you post a photo of the wire connector, I'm sure we could lead you in the right direction.

I'm guessing this is a two-wire plug. If a direct replacement can't be found, something similar can.
