They're a cool unit, huh? Ours comes in at the end of the month...had to
order it as our dealer didn't have one in stock! Yes, Toshiba is the brand they use and it does play thru the stock speakers - someone else who replied to my post simply "upgraded". The dvd demo we heard and saw in one of the other models sounded great and worked very well! Hope you indulge yourself on a purchase!
