Slide rubber seal/gasket covered under warrantee?

I'm still considering buya Rockwood 5th 8285WS and was told that the large rubber seal that goes around the slides are not covered under the typical 1 year warrantee. Maybe this was a way for the dealer to sell me an additioanl year.

I had a th wheel and my seal never dried out over a 5 year period. Has anyone had these rubber seals go bad? If so was it difficult to replace?

Thanks

There are products to keep the seals in good condition. Camping World has some different types of spray on foam stuff that works real well. I think the biggest problem is seals can get snagged or pulled if the slide-out gets out of whack. I guess that makes them in whack from the factory, seriously some slides should not be opened unless the unit is level due to twisting etc. Now there are differnces of opinions because most dealers don't level the units and have the slides open. I have seen where the seals stuck to the slide and a fold out tent bed and removed the outter part.

Iggy,
The warranty covers Hitch Coupler to Rear Bumper.
That covers everything.
