Slideout cover Tension

Everyone, just wondering how I adjust the slideout cover tension. It really billows up in the wind and whips around. I am worried that it is going to rip the fabric.

It seems to be under a lot of tension already and it was really windy, but I brought the slide in because I was worried about the cover. I really like the cover, but if it is going to be a problem in the wind I am not real thrilled about it. I have the factory installed covers...

So do I adjust the tension or is the fabric tough enough not to rip?

I have a 2009 rockwood 8317SS

Since it's a 09' I would take it to a service center and have it tensioned. It does sound as if it's not tensioned correctly. In the interim you can place a basketball sized ball under it and that'll hellp a bit.

Yeah the only problem is that the service center is a PITA to get to and the camper normally comes back worse than when it went in. So if anyone has experience tensioning these I would like to do it myself.

A question about where it is attached to the camper, I have a 2006 8314 and mine is attach just above the slide out openning, I noticed at the last RV show as I was looking at the 2009's it looked like they were installed at the top near the roof edge which creates more of a slop and when the slide out is in the cover does not roll in all the way. If this is the way it is it may be a design issue and could cause problems later.
