I can't find help for this anywhere online, it's like I'm have the only one like this.

This thread is old but seems like the same issue I'm having, the community knowledge seems to be more useful here than anywhere else I've been looking.

My slide will open if I move it with a wrench.
The motor works, and when I take it off the gear box I can see that it spins and is strong. Using the manual crank through the motor doesn't work, so I assume this gear box is the problem, I had it off, but it is packed full of grease, and I'm not sure what to look for inside it. I'm guessing it's a worm gear of sorts that transfers the motors power to the horizontal shaft that moves the slide. Right now I'd be happy to find a shop that can order me this part so I have time to get it on.

If anyone knows who to talk to about this please let me know. I want to get a new gear box for this. I'm getting tired of opening and closing the slide with a wrench, and I'm only a week away from going on a bigger trip.

If anyone knows how to call or email forest river/rockwood directly please let me know. The dealer hasn't been any help, other dealers haven't been any help. In fact one dealer told me trying to deal with forest river is horrible.

I've also googled Thompson Saginaw, and that doesn't help at all.

I've attached a photo if anyone has seen this anywhere. Thank you for reading and helping if you can.
