Slow Leak in the Air Mattress

Worked fine until recently. I find that a small amount of air is leaking from the manual valve. (tested under water). The rubber flapper holds only when there's pressure inside and it's not sealing completely now when full. I've cycled the lever back and forth and don't know what else I can do for a good seal.

suggestions?

Mine has a screw-on ring around it that I needed to tighten. (I have no idea if yours might be the same.)

I can't tighten the cap enough and still see bubbles. The flapper inside should seal and isn't. Maybe a little vasoline on the threads, I'll try that. Thanks.

Having owned sofa stores that have sold many sleepers with air mattresses, find out who the bladder manufacturer is. They will replace it for free or at most $20. Most of them are made by Leggett & Platt down in Carthage Mo. There should be a manufacturer number on the bladder.

Just may do that. I did get it replaced last year through the RV dealer when it went flat over night every time. Now it may or may not lose some air overnight. puzzling.
