Sofa/bed

We really have enjoyed our 2016 Rockwood 2604WS. We have one complaint. The sofa when used as a sofa is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. When pulled out to be used as a bed, the opposite is true. The addition of a foam topper makes it bearable but not enjoyable. Our 2 labs will race us to our bed rather than sleep on the sofa bed. Has anyone had the same problem (not with the dogs, with the sofa)? Does anyone know if Rockwood offers a different sofa/bed with coordinating colours that could be purchased as a replacement or has anyone replaced the sofa bed? Our guests would rather sleep in a tent than on the pullout.

I assume you inflated the integrated air mattress? I ask because you didn't mention it.

Is your couch the jack knife futon or sofa bed?

Yes. When you opened the sofa, you may have mistaken the dark blue mattress as being a liner or cover for the bed's suspension.
Go here and scroll down to Old Coot's post (#7) and download the PDF.

I have a 2014 \forester 3011DS with a similar sofa. It is terrible to sleep on I ended up putting 3 pieces of plywood across the opening, two layers of afgans and a memory foam mattress. I have talked to my dealer they agreed bed was not good, I talked to Forest River their answer that is the way the sofa is, I have checked for something to rplace, there is only 65 inches between dinette and edge of slideout nothing available that small. I noticed 2016 units have two recliners as option. Not available to install in 2014 unit.
Not really all that happy
