SOLID Surface Corian Kitchen Sink Covers

Wanted to know if you can travel with them in place or should they be stored. Would not want one to traveling around my camper when we are in transit. Rockwood Windjammer 2618W.

I just took delivery of my Rockwood 8327ss with the same covers. I asked my PDI guy and he recommended me to store them securely. He also mentioned that the stove wasn't considered a secure spot.

I just took delivery of a Cedar Creek 38FL with the same sink covers as you. I drove back 90kms from the dealer without any problems. I think they are heavy enough to keep themselves seated correctly under normal road conditions.

I was told the same thing from my PDI guy. Store them so they don't chip.

After 2yrs and thousands of miles of travel, mine have always been in place, on the sink. Not the slightest chip or mark on them.

When we take delivery of our fifth wheel, I thought about using a few strips of painter's tape to make sure they stayed in place while traveling.

Just drove ours home from the dealer...1100 miles...left them in place on the sink...they didn't move from there. Ours is the Rockwood 8289 5th wheel...not sure if they are exactly like yours...but it's 2 Corian sink covers...one slightly larger than the other.

I usually travel with mine in place and haven't had an issue. They seat down low enough and are heavy so don't know that they are going to go anywhere. The old plastic one that sat somewhat on top of the sink in the the old trailer would definitely travel on its own if not stored someplace else.

Guess depends on driving habit...and how fast you hit the speed bumps.....our sit in place while traveling....so far they have stayed there and not moved that we know of....no chipping.....good luck

We were told by our PDI they were designed to travel right where they are - in fact he quipped if we were hitting bumps hard enough to dislodge the sink covers, we were going to have other , more serious issues

Makes sense...have you weighed them? My guess is 6ish pounds (2.7 kilo) each, sunk flush with the sink...have to be a whole lotta shaking going on for them to budge

5000 miles with mine left in the sink and no problems. We've hit some pretty major pot holes too that gave me more concerns than worrying about the sink covers.

22,000 + miles and they have always remained on the sink. No issues.

HINT: I added 4 little clear rubber stickon's on the bottom of each, which makes it much easier to pick them up off the counter.
